- This session is held on nights where cloud cover is forecasted to severely affect any telescope viewing.
- It is scheduled on the day of the show once we have a good idea what the weather may do.
- This session may also be held during the daytime.
What the show entails
- A presentation using planetarium software and photos we have taken of the night sky.
- We explore the constellations, prominent stars, planets, and deep sky objects.
- We show the different movement of the stars and planets through the night and through the year.
- A PowerPoint presentation on what stars are, why they shine, how they are born, live, and die.
- We use photos of deep sky objects we have taken through the telescopes.
- For sessions held at night, if there is some clear sky, we may view through the telescope but no guarantee.
- For sessions held during the daytime, if it is a clear sky, we may view the Sun and some bright stars through the telescope.
